Kleris Strumza Summer Collection is inspired by the American musical film Grease. Really? Is there anyone who doesn’t know it?
Those leather jackets, those school rivalries ”those summer nights” they were decades ago. However who wanted to-still want to dance, sing, most of all, dress like that! The film depicts the lives of greasers, Danny Zakuto and Sandy Olsson who develop an attraction for each other in the 1950’s to 1960’s, embraced by rock’n-roll, rockabilly, doo-woo and hand jiles. Danny is the leader of T-birds, leather wearing, cigarette smoking bad boy while Sandy is the good girl, the delicate flower who loves a matching cardigan, midi skirt and headband ensemble with their friends Rizzo and the rest of the Pink Ladies.
The collection is composed of pastel-colored Sandy Olsson dresses and tops, strong colored Rizzo mini shorts, jumpsuits, Pink Ladies cigarette pants and Cha Cha Gregory ruffled dresses, made of most comfortable light fabrics like cotton and chiffon. The signature of the designer appear through the curve accentuating silhouettes, emphasized by oblique cuts that fortified the strength of women sensuality.
Knowing the end of the movie, we don’t advocate changing the way you dress just for a boy “a la Sandy”, but every now and then one simply feels the need to shed the sweater set in favor of a bad ass attitude.
After all you cannot go from “hopelessly devoted” to “tell me about it stud!” attitude without a proper wardrobe fit.
